This past weekend Kimberly Scrham, UpSpring Baby’s VP of Marketing attended the Mom 2.0 Summit in Houston for the second year in a row. She returned with stories about the wonderful time she had and the amazing women she’d met.   “I am so inspired by the smart and successful women that speak at and attend the conference,” Kimberly gushed, “I love to learn about all of the fantastic blogs that these woman are creating.”

UpSpring Baby has just launched our own blog this year, which makes the conference even more pertinent.  “The conference is an enormous resource for learning more about social media and meeting the influential women bloggers behind this movement,” she told me.

I asked her what she found most enjoyable at Mom 2.0 and she said, “The laughter – these women are hysterical and some of the most prolific and powerful writers I have ever met.”  Some of the highlights of the conference for Kimberly included following the hilarious Tweet stream that was going on huge screens the entire time, and hearing Maggie Mason of Mighty Junior speak.  “Maggie was just so kind,” Kimberly said. “She is really committed to helping female bloggers and brands succeed.”

She continued, “The overall experience was so meaningful.  Every minute of the conference was full of learning and laughter.  It is a warm, caring and inspiring environment.  I came away feeling that these women were honest about motherhood and about life.  Hearing women like Gabrielle Blair, Heather Armstrong, Kristen Chase and Gwen Bell made me realize just how unique each of these blogs are, and how powerful this movement is.  These women really are defining a movement with their lives, their blogs and each other.”
