We hear lots of good things about Shrinkx Hips from people who have used it, but when a brand new mom who is studying for her medical board exams actually takes the time out to email us, we feel pretty darn special.  Meet Tina G., a New Hampshire resident with a brand new baby boy named Jack.

Late in my pregnancy, I came across the Shrinkx ad in a magazine at the obstetrician’s office. I was excited because I have a hip condition that makes my hip a little unstable, and I was worried about pain and mobility postpartum. None of the other postpartum support belts or girdles seemed to offer much support. Shrinkx seemed like the most durable product with the most reinforcement. I spoke to my physical therapist and a few orthopedists, who all thought Shrinkx could help keep my hips stable after delivery.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take measurements because I came across Shrinkx later in pregnancy. I can say that I easily fit into my pre-pregnancy pants sized 4-6 petite. I also noticed that as I wore Shrinkx in the weeks postpartum (I’m now almost 7 weeks out), my pants seemed to fit better and better. I realize some of this is probably due to natural weight and fluid loss and muscle strengthening, but I think the Shrinkx did make a difference based on how my pants fit.

Because I chose Shrinkx primarily for support, I wasn’t anticipating or prioritizing the hip reduction aspect. So I was happily surprised to find that wearing Shrinkx did seem to help my hips return to baseline more quickly.

I’m very happy with Shrinkx. In the first weeks postpartum, Shrinkx really made a difference in making me feel more stable walking and moving around. Using Shrinkx definitly accelerated my return to exercise because I felt so much more secure moving. Wearing Shrinkx also reduced soreness in the muscles around my hip immediately postpartum. The product is very comfortable and easy to use. In addition, I think Shrinkx hastened the return of my waistline circumference to baseline since my pants fit increasingly well as I wore the belt. I will absolutely use Shrinkx in future pregnancies.
